HubSpot Wrap-Up 2022

A lot has happened in the HubSpot universe this year. HubSpot has focused a lot on optimizing the system in 2022, implementing new features that the community has been longing for. These improvements have made HubSpot even better, smoother, and more efficient to use. In addition, the Operations Hub and Marketplace have been massively expanded to make HubSpot even more compatible with other systems and simplify integrations.

#1 Optimizations for efficient work

Many of the new features have really improved the way we work with HubSpot in 2022. Starting with the fact that you can now
can edit data in the tabular overview in the object
up to the
new logging possibilities
(LinkedIn, WhatsApp, letter,…). This has led to major efficiency gains.

In addition, since this year you can also
import activities such as logged calls or meetings into HubSpot
and with the
meetings, you can now assign a physical location and invite multiple users from the team.
. This has definitely increased usability for us, as it also makes it easier to switch to HubSpot and thus no data is lost or has to be entered manually.

Three things that many of our customers have repeatedly asked for have also been implemented:

  1. It can be
    rules for fields
can be set, e.g. to set a maximum number of characters
  2. You can now also
filter by “text in notes” to create
    to create lists
  3. The possibility assign several companies to contacts and label the assignments

#2 User rights & settings

Where HubSpot has stepped on the gas quite a bit is with the “Users & Permissions” topics. On the one hand it is now possible
assign rights on field level
that is, you can now decide which fields can be seen and edited. This is not only relevant for security issues, but also makes work more efficient for teams when they are only confronted with the information they actually need. In addition, you can now also set,
who is allowed to see notes in the timeline of the record
.

On the other hand, you can now also
define default settings for specific user groups
. This includes the language settings, the default dashboard that is displayed and also the signature for the users. Besides, you can also set default sidebars for certain groups, which helps your teams to have only the necessary information and work accordingly focused.

#3 HubSpot Package Changes

There were three big changes to HubSpot’s packages this year. The first was the introduction of
CMS tools, which can also be used in the free version
. In addition
Playbooks – instructions and guides for the team – have been unlocked for the Professional package
(previously only available in Enterprise). And last but not least
Marketing automations are now already available in the Starter Package
which is really great – especially for those who are just getting started with HubSpot!

INFO
  • Some of the features are only available in certain packages or/and hubs.
  • An overview of product updates and features that are in beta can be found at your account dropdown (top right), under “Product Updates”.

We are definitely looking forward to the next HubSpot year with many new optimizations and, above all, many satisfied customers!

Until the next update – your Growth Ninjas,

Adrienne, David, Hermann, Johannes, Katharina & Stefan
