iMaps ETI AG, based in the Principality of Liechtenstein, was founded in 2018 by a team of structured products experts to provide asset managers with a platform for issuing certificates (Actively Managed Certificates) as a white label solution. The spectrum includes certificates on classic investment portfolios and components such as shares, bonds and funds, as well as derivatives and crypto tokens. The focus is on the issuance of actively managed certificates traded on the Stuttgart/EUWAX stock exchange.

Challenge

Until now, the creation process for exchange-listed structured products (ETIs) has been very complex and spread across many different systems.

Problems of the customer:

  • Data inconsistencies
  • Laborious and time-consuming work across many systems
  • Error-proneness

The goal of iMaps was to automate the product development process to a large extent:

  • Single source of truth for data management
  • Generation of automatically pre-filled documents
  • Clear data control
  • Automation of data synchronization and tasks in HubSpot

Growth Ninjas Solution

Together with the customer, we decided to implement a fully automated solution with HubSpot as the central data hub and single source of truth for all securities information.

Based on the data in HubSpot for the creation of a new structured product, the necessary documents are generated via workflows in the individual deal phases in HubSpot (via an API connection with Pandadoc), which must be digitally signed by several parties. These documents serve as legal documentation for both the investment manager and regulators.

In order to avoid errors in the production process of the ETIs, special review pages were additionally created in WordPress (4-eyes principle), which are also triggered in different deal phases and ensure that the next production steps (document generation) can only be triggered if the data is correctly consistent.

Project result & customer benefit

HubSpot is thus successfully used at iMaps as a system for creating financial products – from the initial product idea and discussions with potential customers to the listing and digital distribution of the ETI.

A major added value is the possibility to continuously check the accuracy of the data and to greatly reduce the administrative effort.
